The prize was presented to the winner at the Gala Dinner on July 14 at the Colegio Fonseca in Salamanca by Radiantis CEO Sara Otero.

Said Sara Otero.
The prize, which included a diploma and a cheque for 500 euros, was awarded to the best academic contribution sent to the recent OPTOEL 2015 Congress, whose lead author was a student. The winner being chosen on the basis of comments obtained in the review process by leading members of the Scientific Committee. The next edition of OPTOEL will be at the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2017 and the 2nd Carlos Gómez Reino Prize will be granted there.
